I came across some very interesting people tonight who looked like they were doing something akin to jousting on the quad. One of my primary thoughts is that it may seem a little strange to some people to do this, but the people I met were friendly and eager to share and explain what they were doing; I even got to fight a little with one guy named Tim. Since I'm not involved in anything on campus, I might think about joining this group, although I am not a very physically strong person and I don't know anyone (so far) who seems to be involved with this. Tim said that I am very aggressive and that this is good! Hopefully, he was not just making fun of me.

The people are part of a national group called Belegarth, which is a "live-action battlegame organization devoted to simulating Dark Age and medieval combat". A little weird, but hey, I am a little weird, and I need a new activity to get into. Why not a little fighting and camping and general old-style merry-making?
